Horseback Riding in the Ozarks

Do you enjoy horseback riding or want to see what it is all about? You’re in the prime location. There is nothing like riding horseback in the Ozark National Forest.

Stay with us and travel over to OK Trading Post. They provide the horses and host guided (by very colorful locals) group tours through trails just miles outside of Mountain View, Arkansas. Go horseback riding for the day to renew your spirits in nature! No experience necessary.

If you bring your own horses, then Shelton’s Big Flat Getaway might be the place for you. You can ride straight off their property into the Ozark National Forest’s Leatherwood Wilderness area and down to the Buffalo River. Many waterfalls and overlooks make for a perfect lunch spot. Ask them for their special map that will give you unlimited trails and views.

if you are wanting to stay close to the White River, check out Saddle Valley Ranch Horse & RV Camp located in Norfork, just minutes from great trout fishing. You will still have access to the Ozark National Forest, and bringing a camper or living quarter horse trailer, Saddle Valley Ranch may be the perfect fit.

We have cabins in the Calico Rock area, about 30 minutes from here, check them out here:
