WINTER EVENTS

Sylamore 50K & 25K Trail Run (February 15, 2025) – A challenging out-and-back trail race with creek crossings! Held near Allison, AR, just north of Mountain View

Searcy Young Life Bass Open (March 1, 2025) – at Greers Ferry Lake, Devils Fork Ramp. Entry fee: $100, with a $1,000 first-place prize

Mountain View Bluegrass Festival (March 6-8, 2025) – Grab your banjo (or just your tapping foot) and head to Mountain View for a weekend of toe-tapping, soul-lifting bluegrass music. Expect top-tier pickin’ and grinnin’ in the heart of the Ozarks​.

Cleburne County 4-H Bass Open (March 8, 2025) – at Greers Ferry Lake, offering a $2,000 first-place prize.

SPRING EVENTS

Mission Run in the Ozarks (March 29, 2025) – Choose from a 5K, half marathon, or full marathon through the scenic streets of Mountain View. Finishers get a T-shirt!

Paul Harris and The Cleverlys Concert (April 5, 2025) – Ever heard bluegrass with a side of comedy? The Cleverlys mix hilarious antics with seriously good music at the Ozark Folk Center. Get your tickets early before they sell out!

Arkansas Folk Festival (April 18-19, 2025) – Picture this: a charming town square filled with live folk music, handcrafted treasures, and the scent of delicious food wafting through the air. Oh, and don’t miss the big parade—it’s a Mountain View tradition!

Dulcimer Jamboree (April 24-25, 2025) – If you don’t know what a dulcimer is, don’t worry—you’ll be an expert after this festival! Watch master musicians perform on these unique instruments, then try your hand at strumming one yourself​.

Bass Cat Owner’s Invitational (April 26-27, 2025) – Fishing Tournament at Norfork Lake, featuring a grand prize Bass Cat Boat​

Iris Festival (May 2-3, 2025) – Flowers, food, and fun! This festival celebrates the beauty of blooming irises with garden tours, arts and crafts, and live music. Pro tip: Bring your camera—these flowers are Instagram-worthy!

Memorial Day Weekend Celebration (May 23-26, 2025) – What’s better than a long weekend? A long weekend filled with live music, delicious eats, and small-town charm! Celebrate summer’s unofficial start with this festive gathering​.

2nd Annual Sock Hop and Car Show (June 13-14, 2025) – Travel back to the ‘50s with vintage cars, classic tunes, and a dance contest where you can show off your best twist and jive moves. Don’t forget the poodle skirts and leather jackets!​

Mountains, Music & Motorcycles (August 15-17, 2025) – Bikers, blues, and BBQ—what more could you ask for? Ride into Mountain View for a weekend of roaring engines, rockin’ tunes, and some seriously good eats​.

Bluegrass and Fried Chicken Festival (August 22-23, 2025) – Fried chicken and bluegrass music—it’s a match made in Southern heaven! Enjoy the best of both while supporting a great cause​.

FALL EVENTS

Bean Fest and Championship Outhouse Races (October 24-25, 2025) – Ever seen an outhouse on wheels? Now’s your chance! This hilarious event combines a massive bean cook-off with teams racing outhouse-themed carts through town. It’s weird, it’s wonderful, and it’s a must-see​

Spirit of Syllamo (December 13, 2025) – Set in Mountain View, this race offers distances of 13, 35, and 100 miles through rugged Ozark Highlands terrain, complete with steep climbs and river crossings.
